| Japan Times Japans Life Lines |
I would like to point you all in the direction of a recuring series of articles on the Japan Times web site called LifeLines. It contains usefull information about surviving in Japan and is featured weekly on the web site. Recent issues have covered naming you child in Japan (not as easy as it sounds if you are a gaijin), permanent visas and even finding cheese. There are also interesting tips on laws and proceedures in Japan. You can submit questions from the web site or help provide answers for readers quiries. I recommend anyone thinking of heading of to Japan to read it weekly so they can get an idea of some problems or issues you could face or should be aware of before ariving in Japan. Don't let some of the content deter you though,it's not all doom and gloom. Japan is a very easy place to live in and this web site can help make it a little easier for you.
The current LifeLine article features:
Where to buy western cheese in Japan Yoga in Nagoya How trim donw and oversized garden Knitting in Japan

Please note you will have to become a member of Japan Times to read back issues. Membership is free and you have the option of getting a digest version emailed to you daily. |
